Polyposis
A condition in which the body has multiple mushroom-shaped growths called polyps. If the polyps are in the intestines, then the condition is called polyposis coli. One disease that includes polyposis is called familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). A person who has FAP typically has hundreds of polyps in their colon, and a very high risk of developing colon cancer.
