Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug
NSAIDs are a group of drugs that decrease inflammation, fight pain, and increase the effectiveness of other pain-relief medications. These drugs work by preventing the inflammation (and resulting pain) that some chemicals in the body cause. A common NSAID is Ibuprofen.
