Congenital hypertrophy of the retinal pigmented epithelium
Freckling on the back part of the eye (the retina) that is present from birth. This harmless condition is often found in people who have the inherited colon cancer syndrome called familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). CHRPE is visible only during a detailed eye examination.
