Biopsy
A medical procedure in which a small piece of tissue is removed from the body in order to be examined. The different names given to biopsies are based on the method used to collect the tissue. In an aspiration biopsy, a needle is used to collect the tissue. In a shave biopsy, a razor or blade is used to collect the tissue.
